The Society of Ideas is envisioned as the Institute’s ongoing intellectual community: a place where shared reading, serious disagreement, and sustained conversation can continue between events and courses.

The Society is envisioned as a community where inquiry becomes a continuing practice. Shared reading and thoughtful exchange would provide a rhythm for encountering ideas and one another.

The Convergence is periodic and courses have beginnings and endings. The Society is intended to create continuity through monthly reading groups, member seminars, moderated discussions, special lectures, salons, course conversations, selected resources, and early access to appropriate events.
The purpose is not ideological agreement. It is better disagreement: patient, informed, and willing to revise.
Who belongs
A philosophy degree, academic appointment, or publication record is not required. Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to engage seriously with other people are the essential starting points.
The Society is designed to bridge scholars and the intellectually curious public.
Before membership opens
Membership terms, benefits, prices, privacy practices, renewal terms, and launch timing remain in development. No membership payment or enrollment is available through this site.
